Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy (SALT) provides treatment and support for people who have problems with speaking, eating, drinking and swallowing. In this way it can make a significance to clients’ quality of life.
Clients may have issues which have arisen due to any of a number of different reasons, for example hearing impairments; neurodisabilities (such as autism); visual impairment; epilepsy; cleft palate; velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD); tracheotomy; voice disorders, or may be looking to address voice changes associated with gender reassignment.
