Paediatric Physiotherapy
Specialist physiotherapists can help children and young people who they are experiencing difficulty with movement due to injury, illness or disability. This is achieved through an individually tailored programme which may include movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.
Paediatric physiotherapy is available for children and young people (CYP) from the age of 8 upwards, for growth issues, pain, and issues with the joints and limbs. Physiotherapy may be used for short or long-term conditions that can affect a child’s physical development and thus impact their play, learning and socialising activities. The approach is holistic, whole-patient centred, in order to both manage pain and optimise movement function.
