Child and Adolescent Psychology
❇️ Child and adolescent psychology (including paediatric psychology) is treatment for young people and their families or primary caregivers where there the young person or child is experiencing complex psychological, emotional or social difficulties.
❇️ It is an evidence-based approach whereby and different psychological techniques or interventions are used, depending on the training and specialities of the practitioner, and the specific needs of the patient.
❇️ The aim of a Child and Adolescent Psychologist is to assist and enable the child or adolescent to express their feelings and thoughts in a helpful way.
