❇️Louise provides acupuncture as part of the long established Shaftesbury Clinic, which was founded in 2008. Louise is a Traditional Acupuncturist practising Five Element style acupuncture. A systematic approach whereby clients’ individual health needs are assessed and addressed from all angles by focusing on the restoration and maintenance of good health.
She is committed to delivering effective treatment to enhance clients’ quality of life, and as part of this practises continuous professional development (CPD), applying reflective practice.
❇️ Louise graduated after 3 years’ study from The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa, and was awarded a Merit in the Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, after concluding an extensive training with a focus on the five element style of acupuncture, covering all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory. Louise considers the client’s main health complaint within a holistic framework to each client as an individual. She can address a full range of conditions, additionally having special interests in muscular skeletal (MSK) conditions; facial acupuncture; migraine headaches and arthritis and joint pain, including sciatica.
❇️ As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) Louise adheres to the BAcC Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. BAcC members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority (PSA); a government body which regulates the regulatory and registration bodies of health and social care providers, and which is accountable to Parliament. Louise carries full public liability insurance and professional indemnity cover.
❇️ Louise also sits on the finance committee of the British Acupuncture Council, and is the Regional Group Co-ordinator from the BAcC’s Bedfordshire branch.
