About
Philip provides acupuncture as part of the long established Shaftesbury Clinic, which was founded in 2008. Philip is a Five Element Traditional Acupuncturist. This is a systematic approach, which emphasises clients’ health needs from all perspectives and focusses on restoring and maintaining good health.
He is dedicated to the provision of effective treatment, to improve quality of life for clients, and maintains continuous professional development (CPD), engaging in reflective practice.
Philip qualified from the College of Traditional Acupuncture (Warwickshire) after three years’ training; and holds a Licentiate in Acupuncture, and a First Class honours degree (BA) in Traditional Acupuncture accredited by Oxford Brookes. His degree is validated by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).
He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and bound by their codes of safety and ethics. He carries full professional indemnity, and public liability insurance cover. The British Acupuncture Council is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which in turn is accountable to the UK Parliament.
Philip has been Chair of the Governing Board of the British Acupuncture Council (until 2019), and is the Regional Group Co-ordinator of the Northampton Branch of the BAcC. He was made a fellow of the British Acupuncture Council in 2022 in recognition for his services to acupuncture in the UK.
❇️ Acupuncture has always been an essential part of Philip’s life, as his father Sidney Rose-Neil pioneered acupuncture in the UK, founding the British Acupuncture Association.
Philip is registered with the NHSTA (NHS Trust Association’ Complementary Therapy Register), and trained in the use of Battlefield Acupuncture Protocol (advanced pain treatment).
He frequently lectures at national conferences, including the BAcC Annual Conferences, and has addressed the United Nations on health issues on behalf of the UK. He is a member of the Scientific Medical Network, and the Society of Anglo-Chinese Understanding.
Philip has special interests in the fields of complex case management and fertility.
